Insulation
Insulation is a vital feature of any hot tub. It plays a huge part in your hot tub’s heat retention, meaning that the level and quality of your hot tub’s insulation will directly affect your day-to-day running costs.
The Tokyo is insulated with Platinum Spas Premium Shield which combines five different types of insulation to retain the heat within the cabinet.
Around the perimeter and on the floor of the hot tub you will find a reflective foil to rebound some heat that would otherwise be lost from components such as the pumps and the heater. Finally, the Tokyo is also equipped with reflective polyurethane foam boards inside the side panels. This keeps the heat in and the cold out.

When it comes to hydro-massage, the Tokyo hot tub is a true standout. With its powerful 3 x pump system and 89 jets, this hot tub delivers targeted therapy that soothes your aches and pains exactly where you need it most.
Featuring 3 standard seats, 2 captain seats, and a lounger, the Tokyo has something for everyone. The lounger seat, in particular, is a true highlight. With its designated pump and expertly crafted moulded seating, this seat offers a rejuvenating massage for your back, forearms, feet, and legs. You’ll feel the strong focus on your thighs and calves, as jets on both sides of the legs provide a comprehensive massage experience.
In addition to the impressive lounger seat, the Tokyo also boasts two captain seats, each with unique benefits. The first captain seat is reverse-moulded, offering targeted therapy for upper back, shoulder, and neck pain. The second captain seat, on the other hand, features numerous small jets that provide an entirely different kind of massage experience, but one that is equally as effective.
The remaining three seats, which are slightly elevated, provide a perfect place to relax and cool down. The footwell also comes equipped with 2x volcano jets that offer a unique experience, providing powerful therapy for your feet.
As with all our hot tubs, the Tokyo offers complete control over the power of the massage. You can customise your massage by turning individual jets up or down, adjusting the air jets, and changing the power of the massage from seat to seat using the diverters. Control System
The Tokyo comes as standard with a Balboa Spa Touch 2, touchscreen control panel. This makes navigating the settings of the hot tub easy.
Water Purification
Clarity of water is important, that’s why this hot tub utilises the very latest in Ozone technology. But what does Ozone do? When used in conjunction with your regular hot tub sanitiser (e.g., chlorine or bromine), ozone will help to kill pathogenic bacteria, viruses and germs. Which means that you’ll in turn need less sanitiser, helping to reduce the amount you spend on chemicals whilst keeping your spa water cleaner and clearer.
Wi-Fi
WIFI is an optional extra on the Tokyo. This allows you to control the hot tub from anywhere in the world, you can set the temperature, change the filter cycles and much more.
Going away for a couple of weeks, you’ve set the temperature down but want the hot tub to be up to temperature for when you get back? With the Wifi upgrade, this isn’t an issue. Simply open up the app, change the temperature and prepare your favourite swimming trunks for your arrival back home.
